Day 19 - Yaoi manga you think should be animated. : Kayashimashi no Yuuga na Seikatsu
I think Love Stage !! could make a great anime : funny characters, real plot with more than only sex scenes, otaku and idols… It’s a funny read, with many popular “otaku” refs and I wouldn’t be surprised to see an anime adaptation sooner or later. But, though I like this title and wanted to speak about it, I’m going to pick Kayashimashi no Yuuga na Seikatsu for this question.
I like Mamahara Ellie artstyle. Her characters have a nice appareance, her slow-pacing composition is generally nice to follow and goes well with Tono Haruhi’s story. This manga (or novel) could make a nice slice of life anime with his different chapters revolving about various part of the protagonists daily life and I’d be happy to see an anime version of it.
Day 18 - A yaoi that broke your heart. : Boku no Shôkoi ni Tsuite
This one-shot can be found in Croquis by Takanaga Hinako. It’s an interesting and well-developped one-shot in two part but it really broke my heart. T_T
I mean… I love happy endings and when the two charas does (or did, as they both try to consider it as a “first love memory”) have feelings for each other, I kinda expect them to confess their love and get together at the end.
Even if I was really sad, I loved this story and it might be one of my fav’ works by Takanaga-sensei. I’m not a big fan of her (or rather, I like some of her mangas but have totally no interest in some others) but it’s a nice (tough sad) read, better than the tankoubon main’s story IMHO.
Original chara. From left -> right : Ruizoku, Hage, Mishin, Kenta & Denzei. Ruizoku, Hage & Mishin are bro & sis. Kenta & Denzei are half-brothers. All are second cousins.
Histoires familiales : Prologue + Ruizoku (tous les liens de l’image du prologue renvoient à la même page pour le moment et je les updaterai au fur et à mesure)
Sortie de terrain : Kenta
Day 17 - Favorite yaoi websiteblog. : Where the lamb lurks (aka “Cheezy’s blog”)
I’m not following so many yaoi-centered websites… For scanlations site, I like Echochi (Hirama Mitsunaga, Kojima Lalako, Sunae Hata, etc. *o*), Rooftop Scenery (a french team who is scanlating Yoneda Kou, Suzuki Tsuta, Yamashita Tomoko, Ogura Muku, Inoue Nawo, etc.) and some others teams whom I don’t remember the name. But for general yaoi news, I’m not following any website. So let’s pimp one of my fav’ blog, where you can find a lot of BL infos and review.
First time I read this blog -old version- was when I was searching infos about SIH. Google gave me Cheezy’s blog link and I was really happy to find some SIH translations (at that time, the manga wasn’t scanlated yet)
Cheezy isn’t doing SIH translations anymore (and now, SIH has become so popular that the scanlations come out pretty early) but her blog is still a great read. I like the titles she’s reviewing and I also find her opinions quite interesting.
Day 16 - Favorite opening theme song. : Venus to Jesus
I’ve got a problem for this question… Considering I’m not often watching yaoi anime, I don’t have any fav OP for a yaoi anime. So I’ll speak about my fav’ OP in general anime.
Now a new problem : I’m not watching so many anime and though some songs are OK (understand : I can listen them without wanting to cut the sound) I’m not so fan of OP in general.
I think a long-time fav’ of mine was the first OP from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. But because it’s quite old now, let’s pick Venus to Jesus from Arakawa under the bridge (though I prefer the ED songs). Other than that and for more recent anime, I think Working’!! OP was kinda fun but listening once per week was enough for me.
Day 15 - Recommend a yaoi for your followers. : Kitan
I’m not sure if I ever said it here but I’m a total fan of Hirama Mitsunaga. I love her artstyle, coloring style, pics composition, character design, etc. And she draw Giant Killing fanarts !!!
So, then Echochi scanlated one of her one-shots, I was over the moon. The art is amazing, the plot interesting, dialogs are great and though it’s too short and I’d love to see more of her, it’s a really, really nice read.
